Aeldrath Reborn

Aeldrath Reborn is an Adventure RTS that blends exploration, meaningful progression, and deep customization in a dark, high fantasy world scarred by centuries of struggle. Lead legendary heroes and carefully chosen armies across a handcrafted land steeped in mystery, where ancient ruins, hidden dungeons, and long-lost strongholds wait to be uncovered. Journey through hostile wilds and crumbling kingdoms in search of survivors, forging uneasy alliances with a variety of fantasy races and other scattered survivors still clinging to hope.

Shape your Heroes with enchanted gear, either looted or crafted, unlock powerful abilities, and guide their growth through branching upgrade paths and evolving roles. Your units also learn through battle, gaining experience and upgrading into stronger or more specialized forms. Scour forgotten places for rare resources and buried relics, and piece together the forgotten history of a fallen age—one journey, one stronghold, and one hard-won victory at a time.

Game is in a very early prototype state. There are bugs, missing and broken features and very little content/gameplay. I will be posting regular free updates here on itch.

Features

• Single Player Campaign The main campaign unfolds across a series of handcrafted missions, each set in a unique region of the shattered world of Aeldrath. With branching paths, hidden objectives and secret missions, no two playthroughs are exactly the same. Heroes and technologies carry over from mission to mission, forming the foundation of your growing power. However, only a limited number of units and items can accompany you, forcing careful choices about which veterans and resources to preserve. Explore optional side missions, uncover ancient secrets, and build a lasting legacy as you fight to restore what was lost.

• Real-Time Tactical Combat
  Issue commands in real time, with the option to pause the action and give commands or adjust the speed of battle to suit your strategy—slow things down for precision (0.5x), play at normal speed, or accelerate the pace (2x, 4x, 8x) when needed. Victory depends on smart positioning, unit and equipment choice, and well-timed abilities.

• Dungeons and Underworld
  Beneath the surface of Aeldrath lie ancient vaults, forgotten tombs, and the vast, cursed expanse of the Underworld — a realm of shadow, ruin, and things best left undisturbed. Enter seamlessly from the surface into multi-layered dungeons teeming with danger and rare resources. The Underworld holds the most fearsome creatures and also the most powerful artifacts… but beware: some doors, once opened, can never be closed.

• RPG Progression Units and heroes alike gain experience and most can be upgraded to higher-tier forms — Militia may become Soldiers or Pikemen; an Apprentice might rise to become a Pyromancer or Wizard, your trusty Scout may someday become a deadly Sniper or a stealthy Ranger, the choice is yours.

• Skill-Based Abilities
  Manually target and time abilities in real-time. Choose when to unleash your fireball or heal your forces - or set abilities to auto-cast mode and let the unit AI decide when and where abilities will be used. (auto-cast coming soon)

• Unit Equipment System
  Outfit your heroes and units with gear you've scavenged, looted, or forged yourself. From battered blades and worn shields to enchanted arrows and relics humming with forgotten magic, every piece of equipment shapes how your forces fight and survive. Delve into a deep crafting system to forge weapons and armor from raw materials, then enhance them further with powerful enchantments, tailoring them to your needs. Whether you seek raw strength, magical potency, or tactical flexibility, the gear you create can be the difference between victory and ruin.

• Tech Tree 
  Delve into an expansive tree of research that shapes your journey across Aeldrath. Unlock advanced structures, elite unit types, powerful spells and enchantments, economic upgrades, and a large variety of arms and equipment. Choose between military, arcane, economic, defensive or crafting branches — each path offering unique advantages and unlocking new strategies. Your choices will determine not just how you fight, but how your people survive, grow, and reclaim the world.

• Hand-Crafted Lore and Worldbuilding
  Every ruin, relic, and dungeon is part of a larger story. Discover ancient texts, encounter legendary foes, and unravel the mystery of what broke Aeldrath — and how it might be mended.

• Atmospheric World Full day-night cycle and calendar system affect gameplay — with seasons, festivals, moon phases, and weather influencing travel, combat, and enemy behavior.
